The Washington Wizards will play the Milwaukee Bucks tonight at home. Post All-Star Break, the Wizards have not had a win, putting together a two game losing streak. The Bucks, however, come in with a two game winning streak.
The Wizards are looking to get a win after they lost to the Chicago Bulls last night. Despite the loss, Bradley Beal had the night of his life. Beal put up a career high of 53 points on 15-27 from the field, and 18-20 from the free throw line.
Beal has put up some amazing numbers since the start of 2020. In the last 14 games, Beal has scored at least 25 points. Additionally, Beal passed Jeff Malone on the Wizards’ all-time scoring list last night. He is now second on the list, behind only Elvin Hayes.
The defense dilemma
Despite Bradley Beal going full steam ahead every game, it’s going to take a lot more from the rest of the Wizards to secure the win tonight against the number one seed in the eastern conference.
Defense has been a consistent problem for the Wizards this season. After the game last night in Chicago, both head coach Scott Brooks and Bradley Beal agreed that defensive efforts were subpar. To win against the powerhouse of Giannis Antetokounmpo and company, the Wizards will have to tighten up on the defensive end.
